- We are Christian-owned, not "religious" (religion is rules made up by people, not God). we've actually been told people heard they would get thrown out for cussing, etc. We do ask you to handle yourself like a grown-up and show some respect, but you won't get thrown out for cussing. One reminder though, God's last name isn't "damn" so if Chilly overhears that one, prepare for comment.
- Types of Tattoos we do and don't: Chilly is the owner and lead Tattooist, but there may be other guest Artists or permanant Tattooists in the shop at any given time. Chilly will do about any design as long as it's not demonic (pentagrams, satanic symbols, etc), sacrilegious (something making fun of God), or something completely vulgar. There are many examples of fine art depicting naked women, that doesn't make it vulgar. If you want some classic pin-up style art, a racy gal on your arm, etc, no problem. Just because it shows a breast, etc, doesn't make it vulgar. If we have to explain the difference to any greater detail, you may not be mature enough to get such a permanant modification to your appearance anyway. Each Tattooist chooses who he/she will or won't tattoo and what images they'll do.
- Pricing: Our prices are very reasonable! There is an industry standard and then there is just plain greed; we are well below industry standard. When you come in to our shop, you WILL NOT be scammed or hustled. We generally price tattoos based on how long it will likely take to complete the piece. We don't charge by the letter for words, we don't charge more for color, etc. If we've quoted you a price for something we thought would take longer and we finish early, your price will be lowered. If we take longer than we expected, that's on us and you'll have gotten a great deal on an amazing tattoo! The Tattooists applying your tattoo at our shop have put in the time, CONSIDERABLE amount of money invested in quality equipment, inks, etc, and have been trained and licensed. There are plenty of "scratchers" out there that do tattoos out of their homes, DON'T DO IT! It all depends on YOU! I'm sure your buddy would give you a great deal on painting your car with .99 cent spray paint......just don't expect people to react like you're pulling up in a H2 on Dubbs with an incredible custom paint job!
We do tattoos because we love to tattoo, not because we're trying to get rich; no hustles and no gimmicks. You won't be hustled in this shop but at the same time, when you're quoted, it's about as cheap as we can make it and still pay our bills. We're not trying to get rich at this, we just love what we do. Don't try to barter or talk us down, that's insulting and won't get you a lot of respect or love from the artist. Would you try to talk down the price of your meal at a restaurant or groceries at the supermarket?
The type of advertizing we rely on the most is word-of-mouth. Although we do spend money on to get our name out in the area, our most valued form of advertising is a satisfied customer.
